Greater Noida West : Residents of Nirala Greenshire, Greater Noida West, have raised serious concerns regarding the water billing process, alleging that charges are being imposed for a period during which no water supply infrastructure or regular service was available in the area.
According to residents, the pipeline installation work and regular water supply in Sector-2 started only around six to eight months ago. Prior to that, there was no continuous or functional water supply system available for residents. In such a situation, they argue that charging water bills for earlier periods is neither logical nor justified.
Residents further alleged that the builder is attempting to recover these charges directly from homeowners and occupants. They maintain that consumers cannot be compelled to pay for a service that was never provided or used.
The issue has triggered dissatisfaction among residents, who are now demanding immediate intervention from the concerned authority, the builder and public representatives. They have called for complete transparency in the billing process, along with a factual clarification regarding the basis of these charges.
Residents warned that if the matter is not resolved fairly and promptly, they may collectively consider further legal action. They also emphasized that the issue is not limited to a single housing society but reflects a larger concern affecting citizens across the region. Residents have urged authorities to treat the matter as a priority and ensure a timely and just resolution.
