Noida: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Noida Police organised a special scooter and foot rally on March 8, 2026, to promote women’s empowerment, safety and awareness. The initiative was conducted under the government campaign Mission Shakti.

The rally was held under the guidance of Laxmi Singh with the objective of encouraging confidence, self-reliance and equal rights for women in society.

As part of the Mission Shakti campaign, women police personnel participated enthusiastically in the scooter and foot rally. Through this initiative, the police aimed to spread awareness about women’s empowerment, safety and the importance of equal opportunities for women.

The rally also highlighted the commitment of Noida Police to ensure the safety, dignity and independence of women. Officials interacted with residents and encouraged them to support efforts that strengthen respect and security for women in society.

Awareness About Safety Schemes and Helpline Numbers

During the program, residents were informed about various safety schemes and emergency helpline numbers related to women’s protection. Police officials educated the public about important helplines, including Dial 112 for emergency services, Women Helpline 1090, Chief Minister Helpline 1076, Cyber Helpline 1930 and Child Helpline 1098.

Information was also shared about the One Stop Centre helpline 181, which provides assistance to women facing distress or violence. Women and girls were encouraged to seek help from the police without hesitation whenever they face any form of difficulty or threat.

The rally organised on International Women’s Day served as an important step toward spreading the objectives of Mission Shakti among the public. It also aimed to build a positive mindset in society regarding respect for women and the importance of ensuring their safety.
