Four out of seven office bearers resign from Sector 112 Kisan Quota RWA in Noida, triggering a governance crisis and raising serious allegations against the president.

Noida :A major administrative crisis has emerged in the Resident Welfare Association (RWA) of Sector 112, Noida, known as the Kisan Quota RWA, after four out of seven elected office bearers submitted their collective resignation. The development has raised serious questions about the functioning of the current RWA management.

The resignations were led by Secretary Vikas Chaudhary along with Treasurer Amol Singh, Deputy Secretary Sanjeev Kumar and Member Rahul Sharma. All four leaders stepped down, citing serious concerns regarding the working style of RWA president Nagendra Singh.

The majority resignation creates a governance crisis

With four members resigning from the seven-member executive body, the majority of the elected team has now stepped down. According to the resigning members, this has significantly weakened the constitutional structure of the RWA and raised doubts about its ability to function smoothly.

Residents had elected the seven-member team with trust and expectations, but alleged that the president’s “authoritarian style of functioning” had broken that trust.

Allegations of financial irregularities

One of the most serious allegations raised by the resigning members concerns financial transparency. Vikas Chaudhary alleged that development charges were being collected in cash instead of being deposited into the official RWA bank account.

When other office bearers demanded proper financial records and accountability, they were allegedly met with rude behaviour.

Development works allegedly stalled

The resigning members also accused the president of blocking public welfare initiatives in the sector. According to them, a proposal to install a smart barrier at gate number 1 was stopped due to personal differences. They claimed such decisions have delayed development works meant for the safety and convenience of residents.

Dispute over proposed bylaw amendments

Another point of disagreement was a proposal to amend the RWA bylaws. Secretary Vikas Chaudhary had suggested reforms to ensure equal participation of all residents, including both local villagers and non-local residents. However, the proposal was reportedly rejected by the president, who allegedly stated that he would not accept the dominance of non-local residents in the RWA.

Allegations of misconduct during meetings

The resigning office bearers also alleged that the president ignored governance rules. According to them, the bylaws mandate two General Body Meetings (GBMs) and one Annual General Meeting (AGM) every year. When these meetings were demanded, the secretary claimed tensions escalated and he faced abusive language and disrespectful behaviour during discussions.

Message to residents of Sector 112

Speaking about the decision to resign, Vikas Chaudhary said the team had worked tirelessly to establish the RWA structure and had even approached the High Court and the registrar’s office to formalise the association.

We sacrificed our time, personal work and even money to establish this RWA. But when honesty is met with abuse and dictatorship, it becomes impossible to continue working. The four members chose to resign together to make it clear they would not be part of policies they consider unfair.

Demand for fresh elections likely

Following the collective resignation, residents in Sector 112 have started raising demands for fresh elections or administrative intervention to restore the proper functioning of the RWA. Despite stepping down from their posts, the former office bearers said they would continue to stand with the residents of Sector 112 and support the community whenever needed
