From MBBS to UPSC: Meet Muskan of Sadopur village, Greater Noida, who secured  All India 771st rank in UPSC

Greater Noida: The results of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025 have been announced and Muskan Verma, a resident of Sadopur village in the Dadri area of Greater Noida, has secured All India Rank 771. Her achievement has brought pride and happiness to her family, village and the entire region.

Success from a modest background

Muskan Verma is the daughter of Anil Verma and Malti Verma. Coming from a simple family background, she achieved this success through dedication, hard work and determination. Her achievement has inspired many students in the area who aspire to join the civil services.

Early education and academic journey

Muskan completed her early schooling at DAV Public School, Kailash Hills. She had a keen interest in studies from the beginning and remained focused on her goals during her school years. For higher education, she enrolled at Gargi College of Delhi University, where she pursued a BSc (Honours) in Physics. During her graduation, she decided to prepare for the civil services and started working towards that goal.

Guidance from Jamia’s RCA

To prepare for the UPSC examination, Muskan followed a disciplined study plan. She received guidance for the main examination from the Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) at Jamia Millia Islamia. Her optional subject was Anthropology. Muskan says that instead of memorising topics, she focused on understanding concepts in depth.

Studied up to 12 hours a day

According to Muskan, clarity of concepts and continuous revision are the most important aspects of UPSC preparation. On regular days, she studied around 8 to 10 hours daily. As the examination approached, her study time increased to nearly 12 hours a day. She believes that, along with hard work, the right strategy and patience are equally important to succeed in such a competitive exam.

Cleared the exam on the third attempt

Muskan appeared for the UPSC examination three times. She could not clear the first two attempts, but did not lose hope. In her third attempt, she cleared the preliminary examination and secured All India Rank 771 with a strong performance.

Village daughters setting new benchmarks

Muskan credits her family for her success. Muskan sayd that families constant support and encouragement helped her stay motivated during difficult times. Residents of Sadopur village say that the daughters of the village are continuously achieving success in education. Earlier, five girls from the village had completed MBBS from government medical colleges. Muskan’s success has further raised the pride of the village.
