Earlier, AAI had 696.14 acres at Mamnoor. To meet new approval requirements, the state acquired an additional 253 acres, taking the total to around 950 acres.Farmers were compensated at approximately Rs 1.20 crore per acre, with the state paying nearly Rs 295 crore in total. With this, all land-related hurdles have been cleared.The foundation stone may be laid jointly by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy by the end of January. Authorities aim to start flight operations by the end of 2027.The airport is expected to transform North Telangana’s economy, supporting Warangal’s IT hub, the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, and attracting investments from Indian and global companies.Mamnoor Airport will be developed for future needs, starting with 72-seater aircraft and later upgraded for larger planes.
