Noida: Gautam Buddh Nagar celebrated Christmas with great joy and enthusiasm, as the festive spirit spread across churches, malls and public spaces throughout the district. From early morning, special prayer services and religious ceremonies were held at various churches, drawing large gatherings of devotees.

The city wore a vibrant festive look as malls and marketplaces were decorated with artificial Christmas trees, sparkling lights and themed installations. Families, children and youngsters were seen enjoying the celebrations, capturing cheerful moments on their cameras.

Festive attractions for children and families

At Gulshan-1 Mall in Sector 129, Christmas celebrations were specially curated for children and families. A magnificent 25-foot-tall Christmas tree stood at the centre of the mall, while decorations featuring stars and gift boxes added to the visual appeal.

Children enthusiastically participated in art and craft activities, card-making, pottery, origami and drawing workshops. Magic shows, tattoo artists and cheerful interactions with Santa Claus became major attractions, delighting young visitors and their parents alike.

Malls turn into major selfie destinations

In Sector-18, DLF Mall of India installed a 33-foot-tall Christmas tree for the first time, which quickly became a popular selfie spot. The mall’s atrium remained packed with visitors posing and taking photographs against the festive backdrop.

Similarly, Spectrum Metro Mall, Sector-75 was beautifully decorated in a Christmas theme, where families and children were seen soaking in the celebratory atmosphere.

Month-long celebrations in Greater Noida West

Greater Noida West’s Gaur City Mall is hosting month-long Christmas and New Year celebrations under the banner ‘Festopia 2026’. The winter carnival, running till January 10, features a Christmas Book Fair, Hamleys Carnival and elaborate festive décor, attracting large crowds.

Heavy footfall across the city

On the occasion of Christmas, malls across Noida and nearby areas witnessed heavy footfall. People were seen clicking selfies with Santa Claus and Christmas trees, while children’s smiles and family bonding moments added warmth to the celebrations.

Being a public holiday, crowds began gathering from the afternoon itself. Children displayed special excitement, while youth and senior citizens equally enjoyed the festive spirit, making Christmas celebrations truly memorable across the city.
