Greater Noida: Residents of Sector Beta-1 have raised strong objections over the continuous neglect of local parks by the Greater Noida Authority’s Horticulture Department. Despite repeated complaints over the past several months, no improvement has been witnessed on the ground.
According to RWA General Secretary Harendra Bhati, the condition of Sector Beta-1 parks has become extremely alarming. The grass has completely dried up, dust is blowing across open patches and large pits have formed in several areas, posing a potential risk of accidents. Once known for lush green lawns and blooming flowers, these parks today present a picture of neglect, covered in dirt and poor maintenance.
As per the residents, the situation in E-Block Park is particularly concerning. A park that was once vibrant and well-maintained is now surrounded by dust, filth and deteriorated pathways.
Despite repeatedly informing ACEO Laxmi V.S., the RWA alleges that the department’s Senior Manager Rakesh Babu has shown severe negligence. Residents also questioned why the Horticulture Department continues to ignore the issue even after the tender work for the sector has already been finalized.
The RWA has urged CEO N.G. Ravi Kumar of the Greater Noida Authority to intervene immediately, take strict action against the responsible officials, and restore the parks to their earlier green and safe condition.
