Noida : A vibrant Ramleela event was organized at Ramleela Ground, Sector 62, Noida by the Shri Ram Mitra Mandal Ramleela Samiti. Convenors Munna Kumar Sharma and Dharampal Goyal, along with their team, honored DDRWA President N.P. Singh, Senior Vice President, Sanjeev Kumar, Vice President, Anil Khanna, and Vice President Anil Singh with mementos and shawls on stage.

The Ramleela depicted significant episodes from the life of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram, highlighting the timeless ideals of truth, righteousness and devotion.

Ramleela, a centuries-old folk theatre tradition, is celebrated across India during Sharadiya Navratri. Its origins date back to the 11th century, with early performances based on Maharishi Valmiki’s Ramayana. In the 16th century, following the composition of Ramcharitmanas by Goswami Tulsidas, his disciples initiated Ramleela performances. The King of Kashi is said to have pledged to stage Ramleela in Ramnagar, setting the foundation for this tradition that continues nationwide.

Today, Ramleela not only preserves cultural and spiritual heritage but also symbolizes the victory of good over evil, “Jai Shri Ram, Jai Bajrangbali.”
