Noida: The Executive Committee meeting of the DDRWA Federation was held today at A-17, Sector 35, Noida. The meeting focused on four major civic issues affecting city residents.

  1. Water and Sewer Problems
Residents expressed deep concern over recurring water supply and sewerage issues. Frequent bursts in the Ganga water pipeline leave residents without water, while sewer overflow is common in multiple sectors. DDRWA President Mr. N.P. Singh raised the matter with Noida Authority General Manager (Water & Sewer) Mr. R.P. Singh, requesting urgent resolution. Mr. R.P. Singh assured that the Ganga water problem has been resolved and sewer complaints will be addressed within two days of receiving a written complaint. He also confirmed that the water supply has already resumed smoothly across the city.

  3. Section 10 Notices
The committee discussed in detail the issue of Section 10 notices issued by the Noida Authority. Members alleged that some officials settle these matters illegally. It was suggested that instead of arbitrary actions, the Authority should regularise properties built beyond permissible limits by charging legal fees based on circle rates. This, members said, would not only resolve disputes but also generate revenue for the government.
  4. Stray Dog Policy Implementation
The problem of stray dogs was discussed at length. Members noted that while the Noida Authority has framed a Dog Policy, it has not been implemented, leading to frequent disputes in residential areas. DDRWA President Mr. N.P. Singh contacted Noida Authority General Manager Mr. S.P. Singh, requesting that the main points of the Dog Policy be displayed on large boards in all major parks and at sector entrances. Mr. S.P. Singh assured that this will be done within a week, which is expected to reduce conflicts.
  5. Sector 100 Road Width Issue
Members also raised objections to the reduction of the planned 45-metre-wide road (as per Master Plan 2031) near Sector 100 to 21 metres. They pointed out that the Authority has already won the related case in the High Court, Supreme Court, and even in the review petition, and therefore, the road should remain 45 metres wide in compliance with the Supreme Court order.

Resolution Passed
The meeting concluded with a resolution demanding that the road width remain at 45 metres and that the Supreme Court’s order be strictly followed.
