Greater Noida West: There was a dispute over ringing the temple bell on the complaint of a resident in Gaur Saundaryam Housing Society in Greater Noida West. The matter heated up for a year and finally reached the UP Pollution Control Board. The resident told the UP Pollution Control Board that he faces problems due to the ringing of the temple bell. After this, the UP Pollution Control Board issued a notice to the AOA and asked them to ring the bell at a low volume. The notice of the UP Pollution Control Board was opposed, after which the UP Pollution Control Board had to withdraw its notice and order.
What is the whole matter?
A resident living in a Gaur Saundaryam had complained to the UP Pollution Control Board. In the complaint, the resident informed, “There is a temple near my house, where a bell is installed. In the morning, that bell is rung by the residents, due to which I face trouble.” On this problem, the UP Pollution Control Board sent a notice to the AOA President. In which it is said, “Care should be taken while ringing the temple bell. Temple bell should not be rung too loudly.” Now this matter rapidly became a topic of discussion in Greater Noida West. Some people were considering it against religious faith.
After the notice, the AOA president had sent a mail to the residents
After the notice of the UP Pollution Control Board, the AOA president mailed all the residents. In which the AOA president had told all the residents, “You are informed that we have received a notice from the UP Pollution Control Board (Noida Office) based on a complaint made by a resident. We have received a complaint of noise pollution from the temple bell which is more than the permissible limit (55 dB during the day and 45 dB at night) set by the Pollution Control Board. Therefore all devotees are requested to maintain the noise level of the temple bell set by the UPPCB by ringing the bell softly and reducing the ringing time. Your cooperation will be appreciated.“
