Noida: The lift accidents happening in the societies of Noida-Greater Noida are not stopping. Every day, news of lift accidents come from one society or the other. The latest case is that of Jaypee Classic Society, Sector 134 of Noida. Here a major lift accident was averted. A lift in the B-2 building suddenly started falling from the fifth floor, luckily the lift stopped on the third floor, which prevented a major accident. There were many people inside the lift when this incident took place.
Know how the accident happened
At the time of the lift incident, the family members of Ranjan Tomar, President of Noida Village Residents Association, had taken the lift. These included Tomar’s elder sister Sangeeta Chauhan, his daughter Tanvi Chauhan, his wife Rakhi Tomar Chauhan, 4-year-old son Rudra Pratap Singh Tomar and 4-month-old daughter Tejaswini. Three other people were also present in the lift. The sudden fall of the lift spread panic among the people present in it. However, the relief was that the lift stopped on the third floor and after a few moments the door opened and everyone came out safely.
Residents made this allegation
This incident has once again highlighted the issue of lift safety. Other people present in the lift said that such incidents have happened before, but the builder is not maintaining it properly. Residents allege that lift accidents are happening continuously in Noida. Residents allege that the builder is ignoring such incidents, which is a cause of concern.
