Wednesday, June 19, is the opening bell. The BSE Sensex reached a fresh record high of 77,581.5 on Wednesday, while the Nifty50 reached 23,630. Benchmark indices continued their record-breaking run on the BSE.
After that, the 30-share index gained almost 90 points in early trades and was circling around 77,394 levels. In a similar vein, the 50-share index increased by 19 points to 23,576.
The BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices rose up to 0.25 percent in the wider markets, setting new highs along the way.
The Nifty Metal was the sector’s best-performing index, rising by 0.4%, followed by the Nifty FMCH, which gained 0.35 percent. In the meantime, the Nifty Realty dropped 0.8%.
