BMW Motorrad has launched its latest flagship adventure motorcycle, the R 1300 GS, in India at a starting price of Rs 20.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Bookings are now open, and deliveries are set to begin later this month.
The R 1300 GS comes in a variety of colors and equipment configurations, including Light White, GS Trophy, Option GS Tramantuna, and Triple Black. Although the designs differ, all models have the same essential features, such as the engine.
A recently built 1,300cc liquid-cooled boxer engine powers the R 1300 GS. This engine features a shaft drive system and produces 145 horsepower at 7,750 rpm and 149 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The R 1300 GS has sophisticated electronics, including a TFT screen for simple navigation through a range of rider aids and smartphone hookup options.
Numerous safety features, including traction control, ABS, and four riding modes (Eco, Rain, Road, and Enduro), are included with the bike. The experience of riding is improved by extra features including cruise control, brake control, hill start assist, and tire pressure monitoring. Additional features include heated grips, a charging port, and a keyless ride.
The R 1300 GS is priced just Rs. 40,000 more than its predecessor and goes up against the likes of the Ducati Multistrada V4 and the Honda Africa Twin.
