Know the whole matter
On Sunday night, the guards and bouncers deployed for the security of the residents of Amrapali Leisure Park Society, located in Techzone-4 under Bisarkh Kotwali, together beat up Abneesh Kumar, a resident of the same society. The guard and the bouncer together beat resident Abneesh Kumar badly with sticks and punches. When other residents tried to intervene, they were also beaten up. Society residents reported the matter to Bisrakh police station. Police reached the spot and arrested some guards. Society residents allege that this fighting incident took place at the instigation of Ad-hoc AOA in Amrapali Leisure Park.
Residents alleges the dispute started when the guard stopped the delivery boy in the society. When the delivery boy was stopped, an altercation broke out between the guard and the delivery boy. The guard and the bouncer attacked resident Abneesh Kumar who had gone to intervene. Residents alleged that Abneesh Kumar, who had gone to intervene, was attacked by the guards on the instructions of the Adhoc AOA.
After the news floated in every web portal, the Adhoc Aoa came forward and released a statement.
Dear Sir,
I hope this message finds you well. We would like to bring to your attention an unfortunate incident that occurred on the night of January 28th, 2024, at Leisure Park. After a meticulous initial investigation involving CCTV footage, statements from security personnel, and eyewitness accounts, the following details have come to light:
Incident Overview:
How it started:
Runjhun Mishra, a resident of A Tower, received a delivery from Blinkit around 10:20 PM.
Security guards, following protocol, requested entry approval through the NBH application (authorized by AAOA).
Ms Mishra, not able to provide the approval, even denied installing the application and getting herself registered, initiated a confrontation, attracting a crowd (messages were spread by her asking her people to come to the gate)
Police intervention occurred, and apologies were extended by the security guard involved. Everyone leaves the scene and the police leave society too.
Escalation and Assault:
• Attracted by the messages spread on WhatsApp and provoking comments by one group Ms Mishra is part of, an aggressive confrontation ensued involving the brother of Ms Veena (he does not live here or own a flat in Leisure Park, we don’t his name but recognize him. let’s call him Mr A), Mr Abinish (the victim) and the security personnel. A security person was pulled out of the guard cabin by Mr A while having dinner, we believe 2 3 guards started thrashing Mr Abinish and a resident, Anil (and 2-to 3 more residents from the same group), kept filming the incident rather than intervening and try saving the victim.
• AAOA members were alerted of this incident around 11:20 PM, 3-4 AAOA members reached the ground but by then, the scene had dispersed.
• A group of residents, around 11:30 PM, approached Gate 1 with heightened aggression, inquiring about the security guards (those thrashed Mr. Abinish) and AAOA member Mr. ID Bhatt.
AAOA members who were present there managed to de-escalate the situation.
The pattern of Incidents Involving Specific Residents:
Residents such as Rajesh, Anil, Runjhun, Yashvant, Sudheer, Aditya, etc., have been recurrently involved in altercations with security guards and Adhoc AOA (Part 1 & 2).
Instances of non-compliance with maintenance payments and incitement of others are documented on social media.
Ongoing attempts to destabilize the AAOA structure have been observed over the past year. – One year back they first started a campaign for No AOA, then successfully pulled down Adhoc AOA 1, then kept campaigning for Adhoc AOA elections and now trying to pull down Adhoc AOA 2 by tarnishing our image. Yesterday’s event is also being politicized by this set of residents again while AAOA has nothing to do with that unfortunate incident.
AAOA’s Response:
The AAOA regrets the incident and takes it very seriously, regardless of residents’ affiliations.
Prompt police reporting has been initiated, and we await the legal process.
We are reviewing our contract with the current security agency and most probably we will be leaving them for a new agency by the Tender process.
We understand the concerns raised by our fellow residents, and we assure you that the AAOA remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents. While certain individuals attempted to politicize yesterday’s event, the AAOA remains focused on its duties.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we navigate through these challenging circumstances.
Best Regards,
Team Adhoc- AOA
