Gaur City : Residents of Gaur City 2 society in Greater Noida West staged a protest after a garbage collection and segregation center was allegedly set up on the ground floor of a residential tower without prior notice.
Residents claim that the garbage waste area is being developed on the ground floor without informing them and without considering the health impact on people living in the tower. They allege that this decision directly affects their daily lives and poses serious hygiene concerns.

According to residents, 14Th Avenue has 14 towers with more than 4,000 families residing in the society. One of the towers already has a garbage collection point, which has reportedly caused inconvenience to families living nearby. Residents have complained about foul smell, hygiene issues and parking problems due to the existing garbage point.
They said that despite earlier objections, another garbage segregation plant is now being prepared on the ground floor of a different tower. Residents allege that no proper consultation or official notice was given before starting the work.
Many residents gathered near the facility and expressed their anger. They submitted a written complaint to the authority and demanded that the garbage plant be relocated to a suitable non-residential area.
Residents also stated that setting up such a facility inside a residential tower could lead to mosquito breeding, foul smell and increased health risks, especially for children and elderly people. They accused the maintenance team and management of ignoring repeated concerns.
After the protest, concerned officials reportedly visited the site and assured residents that necessary action would be taken after reviewing the matter. However, residents said they will continue to raise the issue until a proper solution is provided.
