Gaur City 2: A shocking incident occurred on January 8, 2025, with an elderly woman, Alpana Mukherjee, who lives on 11th Avenue of Gaur City-2. Two boys hypnotised a lady while returning home from Mahagun Mart and stole her jewellery worth 6 lakh rupees. NCRB has been filed in the Police Station.
The miscreants asked address of Ghaziabad
Amit Mukherjee’s elderly mother had gone out with her grandson to Mahagun Mart of Gaur City-2 for some shopping. As soon as she was returning home after shopping, a young man came to her and asked her the address of Ghaziabad. The elderly woman tells her that Ghaziabad is far from here, you will have to take an auto or cab. Then another young man comes and gives information to the first young man about how to go to Ghaziabad.
Friendly Conversation and the Action Plan
According to the victim woman, both the youths engage her in conversation and take her a little further. The second young man has a bag in his hand. He tells the woman that Mataji, there are 6-7 lakh rupees in it…you keep half and I will keep the other half. The woman gets scared and outright refuses to take the money. Even after that, the young man hands over 4-5 thousand rupees to the woman. The woman immediately returns the money to the young man. The conversation continues.
After the conversation, both the kid and the lady were hypnotised
Meanwhile, the two young men take the woman and the grandson a little further hypnotize them and take away the gold bracelets and earrings from their hands. After that, they send the woman home in a battery rickshaw. After a while, when the woman regained consciousness, she realized that she had been cheated, but by then the accused had stolen gold jewellery worth 5-6 lakhs.
Police are taking out the CCTV footage
The victim woman’s son Amit Mukherjee immediately informed the police about this. The police reached Mahagun Mart and took the CCTV footage in their possession. Amit Mukherjee also filed an FIR at the police station regarding the fraud, but the police have not been able to reach the accused yet.
Not the first time
According to Amit Mukherjee, there is some gang in Gaur City-2 which is targeting women in this way. Earlier also a similar incident was carried out by hypnotizing a woman near Mahagun Mart. Jewellery worth lakhs was also looted from her. It is a coincidence that the victim woman also lives in the same society. Amit Mukherjee has appealed to Noida Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh to get the accused arrested soon.
