Noida News: An air conditioner compressor exploded late at night in Noida, causing a huge fire to start in a residence. A significant portion of the house was reduced to ashes. Thankfully, the fire department was able to contain the fire in time. Although no one was killed in this incident, the estimated loss was between Rs 15 and Rs 20 lakh.
What’s wrong?
Around 12:35 p.m., the event occurred in Sector-36 Block C2/70 residence in Noida. Ramesh Arora, the home’s owner, claims that three persons were inside when the incident occurred and that they all left safely and promptly. The family members attempted to put out the fire at first, but it quickly spread. In the meantime, there was a huge noise as the AC compressor exploded. The fire department was notified right away by the neighbors.
Two fire department units arrived at the scene and put out the fire as soon as the information was received. The fire department’s initial investigation showed that a short circuit caused by a voltage fluctuation caused the AC compressor to explode, which in turn caused the fire.
15–20 lakhs lost
The fire reduced a significant portion of the house to ashes. According to the home’s owner, the loss is believed to be between Rs 15 and Rs 20 lakhs. But there were no injuries. Teams from the police and fire departments are thoroughly looking into the situation.
