Greater Noida : The Garden Department of Greater Noida Authority is once again under question as Sector Gamma-1’s C Block park remains waterlogged for the past 10–12 hours following rainfall. Despite this prolonged issue, no drainage efforts have been made so far.
This park is a regular play area for small children who come to enjoy the swings and open space. With stagnant water covering the park, the risk of a serious accident looms large. If a child accidentally falls into a hidden pit, it could lead to a tragic incident.
It’s important to recall that a child had previously lost his life in Sector P-3 of Greater Noida when water had accumulated like a dam in the park. Yet, the authorities seem to have learned nothing from that heartbreaking incident.
Residents have also pointed out the careless cutting of trees around the park and the growing piles of garbage, which are ruining the park’s environment.
Locals urge the Greater Noida Authority, especially the Garden Department, to take immediate action to drain the water and ensure safety for children and cleanliness in public parks.
