UPSC Geo Scientist 2024 registration begins at upsc.gov.in; eligibility criteria, application form link here



UPSC CGSE 2024: The Union Public Service Commission has started online registration for the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2023. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria and other important details related to the exam here or on the official website of the Commission at upsc.gov.in.
As per the schedule, the online registration for Combined Geo-Scientist 2024 will be open from September 20 to October 20, 2023. The Union Public Service Commission is scheduled to conduct a screening test for the selection process of the Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination in 2024. This preliminary phase, known as the Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary) Examination for the year 2024, is set to take place on February 18, 2024. The admit card for the exam will be issued three weeks prior to the commencement of the examination.
Age Limit
The applicants must be between 21 and 32 years of age as of January 01, 2024. However, age relaxation is available to the candidates of reserved categories.

Selection Process
The Combined Geo-Scientist Examination will consist of three successive stages:
Stage-I: Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) having two papers for selection of the candidates for the Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination. Marks secured in the Preliminary Examination will be counted for deciding the final merit.
Stage-II: Combined Geo-Scientist (Main) Examination (Descriptive Type) having three papers for the selection of candidates for the Personality Test (Stage-III). Marks secured in the Main Examination will be counted for deciding the final merit.

Step 2. On the homepage, click on the link that reads, “Exam Notification: Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary) Examination, 2024”
Step 3. Go through the notification and click on the registration link to apply
Step 4. Register yourself and fill out the application form
Step 5. Upload the necessary documents and pay the registration fee
Step 6. Review the details and submit the form
Step 7. Take a printout of the application form for future reference
