
Greater Noida West: The Uttar Pradesh Senior Men’s Basketball Team has commenced an intensive preparatory camp at the Indoor Sports Arena, Salvation Tree School, Greater Noida West, Gautam Buddh Nagar, as part of its preparations for the upcoming 75th Senior National Basketball Championship. The prestigious national tournament is scheduled to be held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, from January 3 to January 11, 2026.






Focus on advanced skill development
The camp is being conducted under the expert guidance of international basketball coach Pradeep Tomar, focusing on advanced skill development, team coordination, fitness and match strategies. The training programme aims to ensure that the team is well-prepared to deliver a strong performance at the national level.
International exposure to the National players
Several prominent players with international exposure are participating in the camp, including Harsh Dagar, Kushal Singh, Satyajeet Chaprana and Digvijay Singh of the Uttar Pradesh Police, adding strength and experience to the squad. Their presence has significantly raised the competitive intensity and quality of training sessions.
The camp is crucial for building team synergy and sharpening competitive readiness ahead of the championship. I am overwhelmed that the players will represent Uttar Pradesh with determination and pride.
