Noida: The district administration will take action against builders who did not deposit the money of the Recovery Certificate (RC) of the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA). Builders had stopped depositing cash under the pretext of elections. Officials did not pay attention due to being busy in elections. Action in the matter will start from June 18, 2024, Tuesday. The District Magistrate has directed the revenue team of Dadri and Sadar Tehsil.

Currently, the Gautam Buddha Nagar District Administration has the highest number of RCs. RCs worth about 300 crores are to be recovered. Due to the Lok Sabha elections, the tehsil team could not recover. However, in the meantime, builders were warned from time to time to deposit the money but they continued to act arbitrarily.

After the elections, the administration has started preparations to take action against defaulting builders. Officials said that the revenue team of Dadri and Sadar Tehsil have been instructed to prepare a list of big defaulters. After the list, notices will be sent to the builders.
Offices will be sealed
If anyone does not deposit the money, action will be taken to seal their office. Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) Atul Kumar said that teams will be sent from Tuesday to recover the money from some builders. If the money is not paid, the office will be sealed immediately. Permission to open the office will be given only after the money is received. If anyone opens the office without permission, an FIR will be registered against them.
