In a circular, the board notified all junior college principals about the decision to extend the admission date. The circular clarified that a late fee of Rs. 1,000 would be required for admission to courses at private junior colleges. However, there would be no late fees for enrollment in this course at government-run or government-sector colleges.
“All the principals are instructed to take necessary action to admit the candidates into the Intermediate first year until the last date. This will ensure that eligible students are not deprived of the opportunity to pursue their higher education,” the board said.
