Gaur City: On July 27, 2024, the volunteers of the Nefowa Foundation and hundreds of residents of Gaur City planted trees on a large scale in the green belt of double culverts in front of Gaur City and took oath to protect the environment and save the planted trees.
‘We are selecting green belts so that the plants can grow well there’
Abhishek Kumar, President, Nefowa, says, “The way the heat has increased this year was unexpected in itself. Like every year we are planting trees this year too but this year the effort will be to plant about 5000 trees and protect them as well. For this, we are selecting green belts so that the plants can grow well there.“
More than 1000 plants were planted
A total of about 1000 plants were planted by volunteers and residents. Cyclists of Swag and NCR Cycling Champion also participated enthusiastically in this campaign.

Bhawna Gaur, founder of Swag Cycling Group, said that it is the responsibility of all of us to save the environment and we fully support this campaign of NeFOWA.
Tribute paid to Ajay Singh, Corona warrior
After the annual tree plantation program of NeFOWA, tribute was paid to late Shri Ajay Singh ji, who was known for his services during the Corona epidemic and lost his life while performing his duty towards humanity. A plant was also planted in the central verge in front of Supertech Eco Village-2 and that road was named “Ajay Path” in his memory and a placard with his name was also installed.
