Cyber Crime Awareness Meet: Police and RWAs in Noida Sector-19 urged residents to stay vigilant online. Advice included not sharing travel/financial details on social media and never disclosing OTPs or banking details over the phone.

Complete Firecracker Ban: Ahead of Diwali, the Uttar Pradesh government imposed a complete ban on the manufacture, sale, and use of all firecrackers across NCR districts, including Noida, in compliance with the Supreme Court’s order.

Voting Rights in High-Rises: The UP Apartment Act 2010 does not mandate a “one flat, one vote” system for AOA (Association of Apartment Owners) elections. Instead, voting power is based on the percentage of undivided interest each owner holds in common areas, proportional to the apartment’s size.

Solid Waste Processing Plant Approved: The Noida Authority approved a plan for a 300 Tonne-Per-Day (TPD) solid waste processing plant to manage the city’s growing waste. The plant will produce bio-CNG, compost, and reusable water.

Immediate Sanitation Action: The Noida Authority deployed specialized teams for urgent sewer cleaning (e.g., in Sector 51) and to clear accumulated garbage dumps (e.g., in Sectors 12, 62, and Khoda area).

Toll Tax Relief for Vehicle Owners: The Central Government announced a new rule: non-FASTag users choosing to pay via UPI (digital payment) will now be charged 1.25 times the regular toll amount instead of double the charge (effective November 15, 2025). 
International Trade Show: Greater Noida successfully hosted Uttar Pradesh’s first-ever International Trade Show (Sept 25–29), featuring over 2,000 stalls and 60 GI (Geographical Indication) products, aiming to boost the local economy.

Fire at Sunworld Vanalika: A major fire in Tower No. 11 in Sunworld Vanalika, Sector-107, Noida, suspected to be due to a short circuit, raised serious concerns about fire safety preparedness in high-rise societies.

Frequent Power Cuts and Faulty DG Backup: Residents of Panchsheel Greens 2, Greater Noida West, raised serious concerns over persistent frequent power outages and a malfunctioning DG (diesel generator) backup system.
