The inauguration time of Noida Airport is set, good news received before Holi, from runway to pod taxi everything is ready

NOIDA: Noida Airport Opening Date: The opening date of Noida Airport is approaching. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself has made a big announcement regarding the inauguration of Jewar Airport. During his visit to Singapore, CM Yogi said that the Noida International Airport could be inaugurated next month. He stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may inaugurate the airport next month. The inauguration of Noida International Airport has been delayed due to the Aerodrome License not being issued by the DGCA. According to media reports, PM Modi may inaugurate it on any day between March 15 and 22. The UP government has started preparations for a massive rally in Jewar. Along with the inauguration of Noida Airport, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the pod taxi and logistics hub.

Aerodrome License Soon:
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has completed the inspection of the airport’s security standards. AAIB may soon submit the report to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Based on this, the aerodrome license will be issued. The first phase of Noida Airport in Jewar is completed over 334 hectares. It has been paid. Noida Airport will be the largest airport in the country.

How many runways will Noida Airport have?
Noida International Airport will have 5 runways once fully completed. Land acquisition is underway for the third phase of airport expansion. In the third phase, 2052 hectares of land are to be purchased. For this, the Uttar Pradesh government has allocated ₹7.5 billion in the 2026 budget for land acquisition. The remaining share will be borne by Noida Authority, Greater Noida Authority, and Yamuna Authority.

Noida Airport Annual Passenger Capacity
In the initial phase, flights from Noida Airport will start on domestic routes. Initially, 5 million passengers will travel from the airport every year. Once the first phase is completed, 12 million passengers will travel from here annually. Noida Airport will also be known for cargo transport both domestically and internationally. A multi-logistics hub is also being developed for this in Bodaki.

MoU during CM Yogi’s Singapore visit
During CM Yogi’s visit to Singapore, agreements related to Jewar Airport were signed. AISATS will invest ₹4,458 crore in two projects at Noida Airport. Under this, an advanced cargo campus will be established at Noida Airport. Through the air catering kitchen, food will be supplied to all airports and flights in North India.

Noida Airport to become a cargo hub
AI SATS’s cargo campus will become a major center for air freight and logistics for Uttar Pradesh as well as the entire North India, known as Taj SATS. There will be large cargo facilities for electronics, pharma, and agricultural products. Jewar Airport will become a multi-modal connectivity hub.

Work on International Film City
Greater Noida International Film City is coming up near Noida Airport in Sector-21. Its construction is being carried out by film producer Boney Kapoor’s company Bewy Projects and the Bhutanese Group. By February 2026, the initial construction work on the first phase of the film city, covering 230 acres, has already started. It will have world-class studios, outdoor locations in Hollywood and Bollywood style, an amusement park, and a VFX and AI lab for filmmaking.

Noida Pod Taxi will run
Pod taxis will run from Film City to Noida Airport. This means small driverless taxis will run from the airport to the film city. Land prices around Noida Airport and Film City along the Yamuna Expressway (Sectors 18, 20, 21, and 22) are skyrocketing.
