Greater Noida West: Representatives of distressed home buyers who were victims of fraud by builder Supertech Limited met Special Commissioner of Economic Offences Wing Sharad Agarwal at the Police Headquarters and discussed the action against the builder.
RK Arora cheated buyers of nine projects including Ecovillage
Thousands of home buyers of Supertech Limited in Delhi NCR have been wandering from door to door waiting for their homes for the last ten years, these thousands of home buyers are fighting for their rights in the National Consumer Forum, RERA, NCLAT, Supreme Court, Economic Offences Wing and Patiala House Court for the last five years. All the home buyers are harassed by Supertech Limited Chairman RK Arora, Mohit Arora, GL Khera, and Nitish Arora of YG Estate, who have been homeless for ten years even after paying the full amount for their house. Those who have got houses are victims of chaos in the half-constructed society.
Buyers have been waiting for justice for 14 years
Various projects of Supertech which started in 2010 are still incomplete, their home buyers are troubled from all sides, most of them are those who are paying EMI of the house, also paying rent and are also not able to take advantage of interest in income tax because they have not got the possession of the house.
This appeal was made to the police officer
Representatives of more than twenty thousand home buyers of nine projects of Supertech Limited, which include North Eye, Ecocity, Romano and Cape Town of Noida, Ecovillage 1, Ecovillage 3, Sports Village of Greater Noida, Upcountry of Yamuna Expressway and Hilltown of Gurugram met Special Commissioner of Economic Offenses Wing Sharad Agarwal at the Police Headquarters and the large scale financial irregularities of the related companies of Supertech Group were brought to his notice.
This is the main reason for buyers’ problems
The main reason for home buyers’ concern is that if we look at the sum of the data of all the projects (Delhi NCR and others) of Supertech Limited in the solution proposal proposed by IRP Hitesh Goyal, then there is a mismatch amount of about nine thousand crores, which the IRP has not mentioned anywhere in its report.
The police officer gave the assurance
Sharad Agarwal, Special Commissioner informed the representatives of home buyers that there are a total of 13 FIRs against Supertech. Out of them, 8 cases are pending in the respective courts. The investigation is going on in some of the remaining cases and charge sheets will be issued soon in some. He further said that the representatives of home buyers can get the reference numbers of all the FIRs and all the court cases by next week.
This is the next plan of the buyers
The representatives of the home buyers will form a framework to collectively look after and represent the interest of thousands of home buyers in filing criminal complaints with the Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Enforcement Directorate (ED) and CBI and in other court cases (NCLAT and Supreme Court).
