As per Mohan, President AOA, Supertech EcoVillage 2 – No Trust in Private Builders or Supertech – NBCC is the Only Option

The NCLAT had already ordered that Supertech’s 16 incomplete projects be handed over to NBCC, but the Supreme Court imposed a temporary stay on this decision. The next hearing is scheduled for April 2025, and homebuyers are hopeful that the court will understand their plight and allow NBCC to take over and complete the projects.

Homebuyers state that:

➡ No trust in the builder – Supertech has betrayed buyers multiple times.
➡ Private builders are not a solution – Several private companies have taken over stalled projects in the past but failed to deliver.
➡ NBCC has a proven track record – As a government agency, NBCC has completed many delayed projects.

Major Issues Faced by Homebuyers:

Dual burden of EMI and rent – Increasing financial distress.
Legal troubles – Buyers are facing SARFAESI actions and Section 138 cases.
Declining credit scores – Making it difficult to secure loans in the future.
No faith in Supertech or private builders – Buyers have already suffered multiple betrayals.

Key Demands of Homebuyers:

  • The Supreme Court should approve NBCC to complete the stalled projects.
  • Homebuyers should get EMI relief until they receive their homes.
  • Buyers should not be burdened with Supertech’s loans.
-The government and authorities must intervene and provide relief to buyers.
  • The Noida Authority should expedite the pending registries.
    – A forensic audit of Supertech’s finances should be conducted to investigate fund diversions.
