Noida : Panic broke out in Sunworld Society, located in Noida Sector-107, after a sudden fire erupted in a flat on Monday afternoon. The incident took place in Tower No. 11, Flat No. 201. Initial investigation suggests the fire was caused by a short circuit.
How did the fire start?
At around 2:35 PM, residents noticed smoke billowing out of the flat and immediately informed the fire department. The sight of thick smoke created panic in the society, and nearby floors were quickly evacuated for safety.
Quick action by the Fire Department
Six fire tenders rushed to the spot as soon as the information was received. Firefighters battled the blaze for nearly 40 minutes before bringing it under control. CFO Pradeep Chaubey confirmed that while the household items inside the flat were gutted, thick black smoke was still emanating even after the fire was doused.
No casualties reported
Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. Timely action by the fire department helped avert a major disaster.
Residents in grip of panic
As the smoke spread, residents rushed out of their homes. Families, particularly children and elderly individuals, were relocated to safer areas until the fire was fully contained.
