Noida: A big news is coming from several societies related to Noida-Greater Noida. It is to inform you that several major societies in Noida-Greater Noida have been fined in lakhs. Strict action has been taken against these societies for discharging sewage water into drains without treatment. In Gautam Buddha Nagar district, if any society is found doing this, its AOA (Association of Owners) registration will also be canceled and a heavy fine will be imposed. The Noida Authority has written a letter to the Chit Fund Office located in Meerut recommending the cancellation of the registration of some societies. So far, action has been taken against 2 societies, while a list of 7 more societies has been prepared. An FIR has also been registered against them.
It should be noted that despite spending millions of rupees on drain cleaning in Noida, the water still remains black and foul-smelling. A major reason for this is the societies releasing untreated sewage water directly into the drains. In the first phase, a total fine of 1.17 crore rupees has been imposed on seven societies. In this matter, the Noida Authority had also written to the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UP PCB), but no strict action has been taken so far. This action could be an important step towards improving the city’s drainage and environment.
There will be major action against these societies. There are about 100 societies in the city, where millions of people reside. Some of these societies have been fined for various reasons, and action is being taken against some others. For example, action is to be taken against the Lotus Panache society in Sector 100, while an FIR has already been registered against Lotus Boulevard. RG Residency in Sector 120 has been fined ₹11 lakh 90 thousand, Sikka Karnik in Sector 78 has been fined ₹20 lakh 30 thousand, and the Purvanchal Royal Park Society in Sector 137 has been fined ₹17 lakh 90 thousand. Similarly, Aims Max Gardenia in Sector 75 has been ordered to pay ₹29 lakh 45 thousand, Pratik Feedtech in Sector 45 has been fined ₹18 lakh 30 thousand, and Amrapali Silicon City in Sector 46 has been ordered to pay ₹19 lakh 20 thousand.
