Shekhar Suman compares Adhyayan Suman’s journey with Amitabh Bachchan: ‘Big B was dubbed the ‘constipated actor’ after several flops’ | Hindi Movie News

Shekhar Suman debuted on cinema opposite Rekha in Shashi Kapoor’s “Utsav” in 1984. He is currently relishing in the success of his most recent television project, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Shekhar played Mallikajaan’s patron, Khan Bahadur Zulfikar Ahmed, in Heeramandi. The series also features Adhyayan Suman, his son.Adhyayan began his journey with Haal-e-Dil in 2008, but it took him over 16 years to reach a significant career achievement. He was cast as Zoravar Ali Khan in Heeramandi.

Shekhar used Amitabh Bachchan as an example when talking about Adhyayan’s tenure in the Hindi film industry in a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama. He told a tale about Amitabh Bachchan’s dark days, when several of his films failed to turn a profit, leading to people calling him a “constipated actor”.

Shekhar remembered hearing in one of Bachchan saab’s interviews that during the first few years, 13–14–15 of his movies were box office failures. Additionally, directors would refer to him as “that constipated actor” without naming him.

Shekhar further mentioned that All India Radio had turned down Amitabh Bachchan’s baritone voice. Nevertheless, he went on to become one of the most well-known actors in Hindi film.
After making his debut, Adhyayan was cast in a significant part in Raaz: The Mystery Continues. The film was popular at the time. After a run of setbacks, Adhyayan made a comeback in 2020 with the Bobby Deol-starring online series Ashram.
