Noida: A major governance crisis has erupted within the Udyog Vihar Residents Welfare Association (RWA) as former president Sushil Sharma continues to withhold crucial financial and administrative documents nearly six months after the new RWA team was elected.

Despite repeated notices from the Deputy Registrar, Sharma has not handed over:

  • Financial records
  • Ledger books
  • Agreements & contracts
  • RWA property details
  • ITR and TDS filings
  • Other key statutory documents

The delay involves transactions worth crores, raising alarm among residents and the newly elected committee.

Three notices ignored, Final warning issued

In an unprecedented move, the Deputy Registrar’s office (including one notice from Lucknow) has issued four notices, the latest giving 10 10-day final deadline for complete handover. Officials have reportedly warned that failure to comply may trigger strict legal action, including potential inquiry and escalation to higher authorities.

Newly elected team points to suspected financial irregularities

RWA President Mayank Chauhan and General Secretary Ranjan Kumar have made a direct and explosive allegation:

“The former executive is deliberately blocking the handover out of fear that massive financial irregularities will be exposed.”

According to the new team, the former president has allegedly been using political connections and intimidation to avoid accountability.

Residents reach breaking point, Peaceful protest planned

With no progress despite official notices, Udyog Vihar residents are now considering a peaceful sit-in protest outside the former president’s residence. Residents say that moving the matter to court would drain time and money, while public pressure may force immediate compliance.

Elections were fully monitored, Claims of Irregularities baseless

The RWA elections earlier this year were conducted under heavy administrative supervision:

  • Noida DM
  • Deputy Registrar
  • DSO
  • PAC personnel
  • Noida Police (40–50 officers present)

The entire voting process was video-recorded. Yet, despite this, Sharma and his former general secretary attempted to discredit the election results, a move that observers say completely failed due to a lack of evidence.

Community on edge as final deadline nears

The Deputy Registrar’s latest 10-day ultimatum is being seen as the last opportunity for Sushil Sharma to comply legally. Failure to submit all financial and administrative documents may open the door to:

  • Formal investigation
  • Administrative action
  • Possible criminal proceedings

The situation has escalated into one of the most alarming governance breakdowns in Noida’s RWA landscape in recent months.
