Noida: In a shocking incident, miscreants vandalized a newly installed security gate near Gate No. 12 of Sector 51 late last night, raising serious concerns about the security of the entire sector. Residents say this gate is frequently used by unauthorized labourers to enter the sector and move to other nearby sectors for daily work. Moreover, the area has allegedly become a hub for anti-social activities including illegal sale and consumption of alcohol and cannabis.
For the past one month, efforts were being made to strengthen the security around this stretch. Earlier, concertina fencing was installed at another nearby gate around 100 meters ahead, but it was also damaged by unknown elements. The side grill of that gate was broken too. Following that, a new gate was placed 100 meters before the spot which has now been damaged again.
The incident raises serious questions on night patrolling and policing in the area. Residents fear such repeated attacks on security infrastructure could put the safety of families at risk.

Increase night patrolling in the area
Identify and arrest those vandalizing gates and operating illegal activities
Stop unauthorized entry routes into the sector
Locals have urged the police and Noida Authority to intervene urgently to curb rising crime activities and ensure proper security arrangements in Sector 51.
