Noida: A decorative street light near VDS Market, Sector 51, Noida, was damaged after being hit by an RMC vehicle belonging to the IKEA company, according to residents. The impact caused the light pole to break and fall to the ground, creating a safety hazard in a busy public area.
Residents promptly captured photographs of the broken light and the vehicle involved, sharing them with the RWA for necessary action.
Sanjeev Kumar, General Secretary, RWA Sector 51, has raised the issue with the Noida Authority, urging officials to initiate prompt repairs. He has also demanded that the cost of restoration be recovered from the responsible company.
“Noida Authority is requested to please get this light repaired with compensation from IKEA company,” he stated in his communication.
Local residents have expressed concern about the delayed response and have called for stricter enforcement to prevent damage to public infrastructure by private vehicles.
