Action is required else dharna is the answer.

DDRWA Secretary informed Apartment Times that it is an unbearable heatwave going on and in this season, when there should be no power cut, we are facing acute power cuts and disrupted power supply. We have requested the energy minister to improve the system and get work done to strengthen the infrastructure. Otherwise, DD RWA Federation will be forced to sit on dharna at the office of Sector 16 Noida Chief Engineer.

Know what is written in the letter

Respected Sir,
Date 23- 5-2024
To Hon’ble Shri A.K. Sharma,
Energy Minister, Uttar Pradesh

You are informed that the problem of electricity has become very serious in district Gautam Budh Nagar. In this summer season when the temperature has crossed 47 degrees, the residents are troubled by the problem of power cuts throughout the night. The administration claims that Noida Greater, Noida has been kept in no cut zone. Residents are suffering from the problem of power fluctuations, power cuts, transformers, burning, broken and hanging poles in the streets of the city and villages.

Preventive maintenance is required to avoid the problem of power cuts. However, the department needs funds to prevent and strengthen the infrastructure, which has not been given by the department, due to which the residents of Gautam Budh Nagar district are troubled by power cuts every day.

If preventive maintenance is done properly, broken and rotten poles are replaced and pruning of trees is also done properly, then the problem can be improved to a great extent.

Most of the poles in every sector are about to rot and fall. The electricity department does not even bother to do welding, let alone replacing the poles. If a broken and rotten pole falls on any resident’s house or vehicle, then the resident will have to bear the cost himself, which is absolutely wrong, in such a case the department should give compensation. It is the responsibility of the electricity department to keep the poles in good condition. Even after repeated requests, the electricity department does not replace the rotten pole.

Similarly, the department needs to take responsibility for the electrical appliances of the residents which get damaged due to excessive fluctuations. In such a situation, the department should give compensation to the residents for the appliances running on prestation.

Due to power failure and fluctuations occurring every day, the appliances of houses are getting damaged every day, which is happening due to the fault of the electricity department.

Please take appropriate action immediately and charge the senior officers of the electricity department to identify and replace the damaged and broken poles.

If no action is taken by the department within a week and the problem of power failure is not improved, then DD RWA Federation will be forced to sit on dharna at your Sector 16 Noida Chief Engineer’s office.

Thank you

N P Singh / Sanjeev Kumar President / Senior Vice President
