Noida: Residents of Sector-19 Noida, are facing severe inconvenience due to prolonged and frequent power cuts that have continued unabated for the past 15 days. According to residents, electricity supply is being disrupted for up to three hours daily, often without prior notice and on varying pretexts.
The recurring outages have caused widespread frustration among residents, affecting daily life, work-from-home schedules, senior citizens, children and patients who depend on uninterrupted power supply. Locals claim that despite repeated complaints, no permanent solution has been provided by the concerned department.
In a formal complaint addressed to the Chief Engineer Noida, the Resident Welfare Association of Sector-19 highlighted the deteriorating power situation and urged immediate intervention. The RWA pointed out that the power supply situation has worsened significantly over the last two to three months, particularly after changes were made in the organisational structure of the electricity department.
Residents have warned that if the issue is not resolved immediately and power cuts are not stopped, the matter will be escalated to the Uttar Pradesh Government. The RWA has demanded strict instructions to concerned officials to ensure an uninterrupted electricity supply and accountability for the repeated outages.
The situation remains tense as residents await urgent action from the authorities.
