Noida: Under the Safe City Project and Modern Traffic Management Scheme of the Uttar Pradesh government, LED screens and public address systems will be installed at major intersections and public places in Greater Noida and Greater Noida West. Residents of Noida will be immediately alerted in case of natural disasters like storms, hurricanes, heavy rain or any other emergency situation.

Direct alerts from the control room

Through these technical means, direct alerts will be issued from the control room. Weather forecast or any kind of emergency information like storm, heavy rain, or traffic jam will be displayed on the LED screen and broadcast through the public announcement system, so that people can be cautious in time and take necessary steps.

More than 2700 high-tech cameras will also be installed

Under this project, more than 2700 state-of-the-art cameras will also be installed to improve security and traffic control in the Greater Noida area. Rs 227.60 crore will be spent by Greater Noida Authority on the entire scheme. These cameras will be connected to a centralized state-of-the-art control room, which will be installed in the authority office.

Live monitoring on the spot from a mobile van

According to the Authority, a special high-tech mobile van will also be prepared under this project. During any major incident, this van will immediately reach the spot and send live photos and videos of the spot to the control room, which will make quick action possible.

Work will start soon

At present, the tender process is going on to bring the project to the ground. As soon as the company is selected, its construction work will be started in the next few months. According to officials, the LED screen will not only provide information about the disaster, but information about problems like traffic jams will also be given on time, so that people can avoid trouble by taking an alternative route.
