Noida: Residents of RG Residency, Sector 120 are facing a severe power crisis every other day. Due to the disruption of the main supply of the electricity department, especially the residents of high-rise societies have to face problems, during the time the main supply is disrupted, they have to depend on generators, due to which the electricity rates increase and more bills have to be paid. This affects the pockets of the people.
Residents have shown severe discontentment with the electricity department
Vijay Sharma, a Resident of F Tower, says, ” Due to power cuts, the use of generators (DG) has increased in our society, due to which the electricity bill is increasing excessively. The noise and smoke of the generator are hampering the studies of the children and their health is also getting affected badly. The situation is even more difficult for the elderly, as living without electricity in the heat and humidity is harmful to their health.”
He continues, “General public is suffering from the heat and humidity, and the frequent power cuts and faults by the electricity department have made life difficult for the people. The environment is also being damaged due to the use of generators. I am very upset with this situation and want a permanent solution to the problem of power supply.”

Residents acclaim that, “The efficiency of the electricity department is very poor, due to which people are facing constant trouble. Due to the negligence of the department, there are frequent power cuts and tripping. Ignoring the problems of the public is proof of their failure.“
‘No action even after back-to-back complaints’
Ritesh Rohatgi, a resident of E Tower says, “There has been no electricity since 6 am today and till evening there is no electricity. We are forced to run on the power backup of the society. We have complained to the electricity department several times in this regard but to date, there has been no hearing. They always hang up the phone saying that the electricity supply will come back in the next one hour, but till now about 10 hours have passed but the power supply has not been restored.”
He further says, “Apart from this, due to irregular power cuts and frequent faults by the electricity department, we are forced to use generator excessively due to which the electricity bill comes very high, which is not only a financial burden on our pockets but also not good for Mother Nature. This also deteriorates the quality of life which hampers important household chores like cooking, children’s studies and other household chores get affected.“
Residents are requesting to get this major problem solved as soon as possible
Residents have united together and all are saying this, “Continuous power cuts and frequent faults by the electricity department have made life difficult for people. Due to the irregularity of electricity, generators have to be run, which has increased expenses. The lives of residents are being affected by this problem. Please resolve this issue soon.“
