Greater Noida : The grand festival of faith, Chhath Mahaparv, will once again be celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion this year at the Chhath ghat park located between Shivalik Homes and Design Arch E-Homes societies in Surajpur Site-C Group Housing Extension-2, Greater Noida. The event is being organised under the banner of the Bihar Purvanchal Sanskriti Samiti (Registered), continuing a tradition successfully maintained for the past seven years.
Devotees observing the Chhath fast, along with their families, will offer Arghya to the setting sun on October 27, 2024 and to the rising sun on October 28, 2024, seeking blessings from Lord Bhaskar and Chhathi Maiya through prayers and rituals.
To ensure a peaceful and well-managed celebration, committee members held a meeting at the Chhath ghat park on October 22, 2024. During the session, the layout and planning for the festival were discussed in detail. Following the meeting, cleaning and maintenance activities at the ghat and park were also initiated.
The meeting was attended by the committee’s President, S.K. Ojha, Secretary Rupesh Kumar, Treasurer Shailendra, along with other members, who shared valuable suggestions to streamline this year’s preparations. The committee unanimously decided to celebrate this year’s Chhath festival with greater fervor and grandeur compared to previous years.
With preparations gaining momentum, excitement among the devotees is visibly high. The organising committee is committed to ensuring a memorable, devotional, and smoothly conducted Chhath Mahaparv for all participating families.
