Greater Noida West: Mains supply has been disrupted in Panchsheel Greens-1 Society in Greater Noida West since 9 pm on Thursday, June 27, 2024. Despite uninterrupted supply from NPCL, DG backup is being given to the residents in the society.
Residents are facing problems due to AC not running on DG supply
Residents of Panchsheel Greens 1 Society informed Apartment Times that the power supply was blown with a blast at around 5 pm on Thursday, June 27, 2024. The supply returned after a while but the mains supply disappeared again from 9 pm. The mains supply has not started even till 5 pm on Saturday. However, during this time everyone is getting DG backup supply. Residents are facing problems due to AC not running on DG supply.
Two transformers have been damaged
Vikas Kumar, Former AOA President says, “Two 1600KVA transformers were installed in the society. A transformer exploded and got damaged. All the towers of the society were connected to the second transformer. The second transformer developed fault after a few hours. Since then, only DG supply has been operating for power supply.“
‘The mains supply has not been started yet’
Vikas Kumar, says, “On Friday, June 28, 2024, the AOA informed the residents that a temporary transformer has been ordered. It was said that the supply would be started by Friday evening but even till 5 pm today, Saturday, June 29, 2024, the mains supply has not been started.”
Maintenance of the transformers not done properly
Vikas Kumar accused the AOA of not maintaining the transformer properly and said that the transformer has not been maintained for the last one and a half years. Maintenance was done only when he was in the AOA.
‘Repair work is going on’
Mohammad Suaib, AOA Secretary says, “Out of the eight cables of a transformer, four cables were burnt, its repair is going on. One transformer has completely broken down, a temporary transformer was ordered in its place on June 27, 2024. That transformer was also started on Friday night, but despite this the mains supply is not going completely to the flats due to the Radius software. Multi-point connection is operational in the society whose software is showing DG supply even when DG is not on in the society and is allowing supply to the flats according to the load of DG.”
‘To replace that cable, the mains will be shut down and the transformer will be started in about one to two hours’
On the question of when the mains supply will be fully started in the flats, AOA Secretary Mohammad Suaib says, ” Out of the eight cables of the damaged transformer, only one cable is left to be replaced. To replace that cable, the mains will be shut down and the transformer will be started in about one to two hours. As soon as both the transformers are started, supply will be started in all the flats with full load. The mains supply has been started in about 5 towers and common areas.”
