The NTPC recruitment drive aims to fill 495 vacancies. The NTPC initiated applications on October 6, 2023. The last day for application submission is October 20, 2023.
Vacancies
The NTPC will be recruiting the engineering executive trainees in the disciplines of:
- Electrical engineering – 120 posts
- Mechanical engineering – 200 posts
- Electronics (Instrumentation) – 80 posts
- Civil – 30 posts
- Mining – 65 posts
Application fee
General, EWS and OBC category candidates will have to play an application fee of Rs. 300.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD and all female candidates are exempted from the application fee.
Age limit
The upper age limit for candidates wanting apply for the Engineering Executive Trainees position is 27 years as of the application deadline, i.e. October 20, 2023. There will be age relaxation for candidates in reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/XSM) in accordance with government regulations.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates who wish to apply for the advertised vacancies need to have appeared for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering – GATE 2023 exam.
In addition to the above, the candidates are also required to have a full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with at least 65% marks, as per respective Institute/University norms, and 55% for SC/ST/PWBD candidates.
How to apply for NTPC Engineering Executive Trainee 2023
Step 1: Go to the Official Website – www.ntpc.co.in
Step 2: Use your Gate 2023 registration number for the application.
Step 3: Read the instructions and complete the application form. After submission, a unique number will be generated.
Step 4: Ensure that your name in the application matches the name on your Gate Score Card.
Step 5: Pay the necessary fees.
Step 6: Download and print the application for future reference
Selected candidates from the General, EWS, and OBC categories will be required to sign a service agreement bond of Rs. 5,00,000.
Rs. 2,50,000/- for candidates from SC, ST, PwWBD categories.
This bond binds them to work for the company for a minimum of 3 years after successfully finishing one year of training.
