Within the next 30 days, 11 Greno West, sectors will get, Ganga water supply

Noida: In a deeply troubling development, the Noida Jal Nigam has issued a notice declaring its inability to continue supplying Ganga water to various high-rise societies in the city. Instead, residents have been asked to arrange their water supply. This unexpected move has caused widespread concern and outrage among residents, many of whom are already struggling with chronic water shortages.

Residents Bear the Burden of Jal Nigam’s Failure

For the past several days, residents in Sector 100X and nearby housing societies have been forced to rely on private water tankers ranging from 20 to 30 daily just to meet basic needs. In Eldeco Aamantran society alone, the water requirement is at least 8–10 lakh litres per day, yet only 4–5 lakh litres are being received, amounting to a 50% shortfall.

Despite repeated complaints and follow-ups, the Jal Nigam has failed to act, further aggravating the crisis. Frustrated and helpless, the residents are now taking to the streets to demand accountability.

Protest March Scheduled Against Jal Nigam

The citizens of Sector 100X have organized a peaceful protest march on Saturday, June 29, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM. The march will begin at Central Market, Sector 100X, and will proceed via Prateek Laurel and RG Residency, culminating at the Eldeco Aamantran Pump House.

All affected societies are expected to participate in the march, which aims to highlight the gravity of the water crisis and the administration’s failure to respond.

Demands of the Residents:

  • Immediate restoration of the Ganga water supply
  • Full refund of water charges collected by Jal Nigam during the period of disrupted supply
  • Urgent action and communication from Noida Jal Nigam and other authorities

Statement from Federation Leadership:

Nikhil Singhal, President of the Noida High-Rise Federation, voiced strong concerns over the Jal Nigam’s decision:

The announcement that Ganga water will no longer be supplied is a major blow to high-rise societies in Noida. We are already facing severe shortages, and this decision will deepen the crisis. We urge the authorities to urgently review this policy and restore regular water supply.

“No More Silence” – Residents Raise Their Voice

Residents have united under a common cause: to reclaim their right to basic amenities. The protest is not just against the shortage of water but also against the negligence and inaction of those responsible for public services.

We are tired of paying for services we are not receiving. The Jal Nigam must be held accountable. We cannot let our families suffer due to bureaucratic indifference.
