Greater Noida : In a move to strengthen ecological preservation, District Magistrate Medha Roopam conducted an on-site inspection of the Surajpur Wetland in Greater Noida today. During the visit, she observed the arrival of migratory birds and reviewed the current condition of the wetland ecosystem.

The DM emphasized the importance of maintaining Surajpur Wetland as a thriving habitat for local and migratory species. She directed concerned officials to take necessary measures for conservation, beautification, and infrastructure improvement around the site.

The Surajpur Wetland, one of NCR’s most significant ecological zones, attracts a wide range of migratory birds every winter and plays a crucial role in maintaining the region’s biodiversity balance. The inspection aligns with the Uttar Pradesh government’s ongoing focus on environmental sustainability and urban ecological management.
