Noida: Four people including a lady got stuck in a lift in a society in Noida. The lift remained stuck for about 40 minutes due to which the lady present in the lift became unconscious.
The case is of Jaypee Classic Society located in Noida Sector-134
The lift of the B-4 tower of the society closed at 7.38 pm and opened only at 8.18 pm., ridiculous indeed.
All through this duration, four people including a lady remained trapped in the lift. Being stuck in the lift for a long time, the woman’s health deteriorated and she became unconscious. As soon as the lift door opened, the woman fell unconscious.
Residents claim that people trapped inside the lift kept raising alarms to open the lift but the maintenance team arrived only after 40 minutes. After the maintenance team opened the lift, the unconscious lady was given first aid and offered water to drink.
This incident caused a lot of anger among the residents as the lift remained stuck for more than half an hour and no help was received. They say “Due to the lack of any mobile network inside the lift, we could not even call anyone. Couldn’t even talk through the emergency call button inside the lift.” Could have been life-threatening.
Lift is a comfort that we enjoy in any high-rise building but lifts also demand high-level maintenance and proper alerting systems. Negligence in this domain can result in serious accidents. RWAs must keep lift maintenance as a priority.
