Crime Alert: Theft of Lakhs at Former Policeman’s House in Jaypee Wishtown, Noida

Noida: The common man purchases a house in a gated community for a risk-free life. But in the past few months, all kinds of crimes have occurred in these gated communities. Be it a rape attempt, suicide or theft. A case of theft has come to light in Jaypee Wishtown society in Sector 128. To everyone‘s surprise, this incident took place at the former DGP’s house.

The house was locked for the past two months

The locked house of VN Rai, the former Uttar Pradesh DGP, in Sector-128 of Kotwali Sector-126 area of Noida. After two months, when he returned home from Singapore, he came to know about the theft. Last Monday evening, the police reached the spot and started an investigation. Police suspect someone close to them. A box has been stolen which is said to contain jewellery worth lakhs.

Senior Police officers reached the spot

As soon as the information was received, many senior police officers reached the spot. According to the police, the house was closed for two months. The former Director General of Police Singapore had gone to visit his son. On Sunday his servant came to the flat and on his next visit to the house, when he checked he found that the jewellery box was missing.

ACP Rajneesh Verma says, “Everything in the house is safe. The jewellery kept in the locker is said to be missing. No evidence of any breaking of the lock or forced entry was found in the house. Investigations are on at this level.”
