Hariyali Teej: Colourful celebration in Sector-122, women participated enthusiastically

Noida: Keeping the Indian culture and tradition alive, the women of Sector-122 celebrated Hariyali Teej with great enthusiasm and devotion. This year the theme of the program was “Saree with a Style”. The organizers honoured all the participants by distributing gifts.

Emphasis on cultural heritage

Various activities were organized in the program. Women danced to the songs of Sawan and Shiva dance was also performed. The importance of Sanskars was depicted through a social drama. RWA Vice President Swati Agarwal, who was also the main organizer of the event, said that our aim was that women should connect with their cultural heritage and also adopt modern fashion. She said that more than 150 women participated in the program.

Opportunity to connect with culture: Resident

Resident Reena Sharma said that this was not just a festival for us, but an opportunity to connect with our culture. By wearing a saree, everyone felt connected to their roots. Mehndi, DJ, games, swings and food were arranged in the program. Along with this, stalls of clothes, jewellery and handmade rakhis were also set up.
