Noida: Noida city was established to develop a big industrial city near the capital Delhi, but when Noida Authority started the work of developing land from farmers, Noida Authority developed many industrial sectors as well as residential sectors. Today, the price of land in these residential sectors is beyond the reach of the common man. Out of these sectors, today we will talk about Sector-116. The sector is surrounded by high-rise buildings built by builder s on all sides. Sector-116, situated between skyscrapers, is a posh sector today.

780 plots, 90% used in making houses

Sector-116 of Noida started developing from the year 2012. There are a total of 780 plots in the sector, out of which people have built their homes on about 90 per cent of the plots.

There are 5 parks in the sector both small and big ones. There are many residential and commercial projects of the builder around the sector. FNG Expressway is near Sector-116. This expressway connects Ghaziabad, Noida and Faridabad. The work of FNG Expressway has been completed up to 80 per cent. With the help of this expressway, people living nearby will get a lot of convenience in going to Faridabad and Ghaziabad.

A big Arya Van Park will be built by the Noida Authority

A new Arya Van Park will also be built by the Noida Authority in Noida Sector-116 soon. This park will be built in about 12 acres and it will cost about Rs 18 crore to build it. The life and achievements of the famous mathematician Aryabhatta will be depicted in this park. The work of this park being built by the Noida Authority will start this year.

Many types of shops for residents so they need not step out

Sector 116 has various types of shops for the convenience of the general public. Sector residents do not have to go out for the things they need. There are many play schools for children and there is also a famous school nearby for students from class 1 to 12.

‘Stray cattle problem is taking the toll’

Brahampal Chaudhry, RWA President, Sector 116 says, ” There is a vacant land outside the sector. According to the map of the Noida Authority, a 24-meter road was to be connected to it, which the authority has not been able to do to date. This problem has become a headache for the citizens here.”
He continues, “Due to the road not being connected, a new problem arises in the sector every day. Animals enter the sector and make a mess in the sector itself. People also give them food here. Stray dogs, cows, and bulls can be seen fighting with each other at times
.”

The security system of the sector has collapsed, No police patrolling

Brahmpal Chaudhary, RWA President further says, “Due to this land, the security system of the sector has collapsed. Petty thefts are a common thing. Thieves enter the sector every day and commit theft. There is no police patrolling in the sector. The speed of resolving the problems of the authority is very slow. At least the Noida Authority should make the boundary of the land because due to this land, there are a lot of problems in the sector.

Parking is the biggest problem

Dr. V.N. Mishra, Vice President, Noida Sector-116 RWA
says, “There is a very big problem of parking in the sector. Especially when marriages take place in the community centre of the sector, people park their vehicles outside the houses of residents of the sector and go away. Due to this the life of the citizens living here has become difficult. Many a times there are a lot of disputes between the two parties regarding parking of vehicles. Some land of the authority is lying vacant right next to the community centre, if the authority builds a parking lot there, then the residents of the sector will benefit a lot.”

Sector parks are not maintained by the Authority

V.N. Mishra, Vice President, RWA 116 says, “The parks of the sector are shedding tears of misery. The parks of the sector have now become jungles. The parks are not maintained properly. Many times snakes also come out of the parks. Most of the parks do not have chairs to sit on, nor are there huts built by the authority, nor are there swings for children to play. There is not even a proper path to go to a park. The authority has installed a gate to enter the park where the electricity transformer is kept. The authority is inviting a new accident by doing this.

Noida Authority’s pace to solve problems is slow

TS Chaudhary, Vice President, Sector-116 says “The pace of resolving problems by Noida Authority is very slow. Noida Authority built a track in the park but forgot to put tiles on it. Whenever it rains, mud spreads all over the track. People have stopped going to parks. The grass has not been cut in the parks for months. If the parks are maintained in the sector, then people like to buy plots here after seeing the greenery. If they are not in good condition, then what image will it create for the investors.”

Sunil Chaudhary, Admin, Sector-116 RWA says, ” Sewer and drain system in the sector has been damaged. The sewer line of the sector is not connected to the main sewer line. The sewer water keeps moving around in the sector. All the drains of the sector are clogged. Mosquitoes are breeding in the drains. When there is heavy rain, the sewer water fills the roads and then enters the houses.”
