Greater Noida West: The police arrested the mastermind who stole mobile displays from the container depot located at Tilpata in Surajpur. The arrested mastermind Vikas Dubey has been absconding for the last three years. Vikas was living in Gaur City One Society of Greater Noida West. He had prepared a plan to steal mobile displays worth Rs 44 lakh from the container depot.
Was absconding for three years
According to the information, in the year 2021, 2,304 displays of mobile phones of a reputed company were stolen from the container depot located at Tilpata. Satendra, a Security guard was caught on CCTV during the theft. Two months after the incident, the police arrested Sudhir, a resident of Bihar, who had dealt with the displays, from near Tilpata. Rs 39 lakh received by selling the displays was recovered from his possession. Accused Satendra had committed the theft with the help of gardener Ravindra. Vikas had got the job of security guard and gardener based on fake documents. Vikas has been absconding since the incident.
Police statement
The police team arrested the mastermind Vikas Dubey alias Dwivedi from his house three years after the incident. Rs 39 lakh has been recovered from them. The police is engaged in further action.
