Noida News: Gas pipeline bursts; leak stopped after two and a half hours

Greater Noida. An IGL gas pipeline burst in Sector Delta-1 on Sunday morning, causing a gas leak and sparking panic among local residents. The leak was brought under control after about two and a half hours of effort. RWA President Pramod Bhati stated that work related to the gas pipeline was underway in front of House No. 121 in C-Block.

During excavation work, a pipeline was damaged, leading to a rapid gas leak. Workers advised nearby residents to evacuate their homes and move to safe locations. Police and fire department teams arrived at the scene immediately upon receiving the information. When the leak could not be stopped despite significant efforts, the main supply line was shut off, bringing the situation under control. Even after the leak was stopped, residents were advised—as a precautionary measure—to refrain from using gas, fire, or other flammable materials for some time. Bureau
