Noida: Major negligence by Amity International School comes to light, child found 23 km away after 7 hours

NOIDA: A UKG student of Amity International School in Noida was trapped in a bus for about seven hours. The child boarded the bus from home for school and fell asleep. The bus dropped off the children at school and then went to a yard about 25 kilometers away and stopped there. The child kept crying for help, but no one listened to him.

When he didn’t reach home after school, the search began. It was found that he hadn’t reached school either. After searching, the family reached the yard 25 kilometers away from the school, where they found the child locked inside the bus. He was drenched in sweat and suffering from hunger and thirst. They called the school. The management said that the child hadn’t reached school, even though his attendance was recorded in the bus register. This case revealed major negligence on the part of the school.

The school management has suspended the transporter and the bus staff. The son of a couple residing in a society in Sector-78 studies in UKG at Amity International School in Sector-44. According to the family, on Thursday they had sent their child to the school bus from the society gate. The bus stopped due to a technical fault. On being informed by the driver, the transporter sent another bus. The children were seated in this bus and taken to school.

They said that being parents, they went through an extremely serious problem. They cannot put into words the fear and helplessness of those hours. They have appealed to other parents to ensure the safety of their children themselves.
