Noida: 5-star ranking again in the cleanliness survey, Noida has achieved a water plus certificate

Noida: Big achievement has been added to the name of Noida city of Uttar Pradesh. Dr Lokesh M, CEO of Noida Authority, says, “This year too, Noida has achieved 5-star certification in the cleanliness survey by achieving success in all 24 indicators.
He further says, “Noida has also obtained a Water Plus Certificate for the first time in the cleanliness survey, which is a huge achievement.”

For this, he has congratulated the people of Noida and the officers and employees of the Public Health Department of Noida Authority. Dr Lokesh M. CEO of Noida Authority says, “Noida is ready for 7 star ranking in the GFC category in the cleanliness survey of the year 2024.”

The Swachh Survekshan ranking of cities is prepared by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Government of India, in which the rank of cities is decided based on population.

Noida Authority has been participating in the category of population ranging from 3 lakh to 10 lakh. In this sequence, in the year 2018, Noida’s rank was 324 and in the year 2019, its rank improved to 150th and Noida got the first position in Uttar Pradesh. In the year 2019, Noida got the record of 3-star ranking in the Garbage Free City Category and ODF++ in the Open Defecation Free City Category.

With 25th rank in 2020 and 4th rank in 2021, Cleanest Medium City and 5 Star Garbage Free City, Noida has strengthened its sanitation system and continuously increased its processing capacity. As a result, Noida was selected as Best Self Sustainable City with 5th rank in the year 2022.

Noida Authority has received a 5-star ranking in the Garbage Free City (GFC) Category. Noida Authority collects and disposes the garbage from the entire area separately in the form of dry and wet waste through Door to Door Waste Collection Agency. Gas and fertilizer are produced from wet garbage through compost plants, and bio-methanation plants and dry garbage is separated scientifically through the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) Center and reused through recycling.
